It has been a couple of weeks since Google launched “Search Plus Your World” and I think now would be good time to check and see how the inclusion of Google+ into search has impacted search engine user’s experience.

I, for one, have noticed very little change. Of course, I see the recommendations and influence from my Google+ integration, but in most cases I see it as a helpful addition, and in the cases where I do not, I keep looking for the result I need much like I did before “Search plus your world” was integrated.

The importance of a marketers presence on Google+ was definitely impacted with the launch of “Search plus your world”. It made content sharing on Google+ just as important, if not more, than any other social community. This of course prompted the outcry from other social communities, but time will tell as to what level of influence Google+ will continue to have, as well as if Google will be forced to make changes to its search engine in the future.

MARKETING TAKEAWAY

Social signal has remained on the front burner and it has only been amplified by Google Plus’ integration into Google’s search results. JASE has ramped up its presence on Google+ and so have all of our clients. Content sharing in every social community is important, but a marketer can no longer afford to turn a blind eye to Google+ for fear of the diminished SEO value.

How important is Google Plus in your social media marketing plan? Did “Search Plus Your World” impact how you share content? Leave us a comment on our Google+ wall and let us know what you think. As always, please feel free to share this with friends.
