December 7, 1941 is a date that will live in infamy. President Franklin D. Roosevelt made that proclamation 71 years ago and those words still ring true today. It was the day Japan invaded the peaceful waters of Pearl Harbor with a surprise attack on the US Pacific Fleet. On that day all 8 of the US battleships were sunk or heavily damaged, 188 U.S. Aircraft were destroyed, 2,402 Americans were killed and 1,282 more were wounded. The next day the United States declared war on Japan.
Today the JASE family chooses to remember this day and what it means to our great country. Thank you to all the service men and women who protect this great nation from all threats. God Bless the USA!
