Facebook has certainly been in the news a lot lately. Some of it good, some of it bad. This time, Facebook ended up on the bad side of the news category.

Recently, Facebook switched users default email address without telling their users. So, if you had a default email address that ended with @gmail.com or @yahoo.com it was changed to @facebook.com. Facebook failed to notify users that this change was coming. Whether by design or accident, and irritated a lot of users in the process.

A Facebook representative, in a interview to the Wall Street Journal, said that Facebook should have explained the email switch more clearly than it did. Facebook did reference an email switch back in April in an attempt to streamline Facebook Timeline user accounts, but failed to make any mention of the switch after that point.

What do you think of Facebook switching your default email address without notifying you? Is Facebook taking the changes to their community too far? Leave us a comment below and let us know your thoughts. Spread the word of the Facebook switch, feel free to share this article with friends.
