Facebook its attempting to make it easier on businesses. After the successes of HootSuite and other 3rd party social media scheduling apps, Facebook has decided to incorporate a scheduling feature into its business pages. The feature is similar to HootSuite and allows users to schedule posts into the future.

Early reports of the feature are in and most tend to have a negative tone.

Some of the Facebook scheduling feature complaints of the early adapters include:

  • Visibility – Locating the feature is difficult because it is not placed as a promoted feature.
  • Scheduling – In line with creating milestones, scheduling a post is cumbersome as compared to HootSuite or other 3rd party apps.
  • Editing – Once you submit a post for scheduling, editing that future post becomes difficult.

Obviously the feature is new and early in development. Time heals all wounds and more than likely Facebook will address some of the early complaints.

What do you think of the new Facebook scheduling feature? Will you continue to use a 3rd party app? Let us know your thoughts. As always, please feel free to share this article with friends.
