Last week Google launched “Search Plus Your World” to mixed results. Some people questioned Google’s ability to influence search results as much as the new feature does. Well now, according to a report from Bloomberg, Google+ is now being investigated by the Federal Trade Commission as part of an ongoing Google investigation that started in June of 2011.
The FTC has been investigating Google to see if they are breaking any antitrust laws by giving any of its own services favorable treatment. The report shows that a couple of companies have filed a complaint with the FTC asking for them to look into this latest feature rolled out by Google.
Search is changing and to JASE it is just the next step in the inbound marketing evolutionary ladder. Businesses that are successful have always and will always continue to adapt, given their current environment. Google’s Search Plus Your World seems to be carving the next new environment.
What do you think of “Search Plus Your World”? Do the complaints to the FTC have any merit? Tweet us @jasegroup and let us know what you think. As always, please feel free to share this article with friends.
