comScore Market Share Reports Google Down, Yahoo Up

The monthly reports came out this week and comScore is showing that the market share figures for Google are slightly down, while Yahoo’s share has come up just a little. Bing’s market share has maintained its current hold for the last couple of months, remaining steady at 14.4%. Bing’s growth of course has come at the expense of other search engines like Ask.com and AOL.

WHY ARE THESE NUMBERS IMPORTANT?

As a business owner you must be aware of aspects that impact your inbound marketing strategy. More search engine traffic is currently going through Google and Yahoo, so you may not want to focus on PPC initiatives with a lesser used search engine.
