Fall is just around the corner. College football is back and is in full stride. The NFL started its season on Wednesday, with its first full slate of NFL games on Sunday. The weather has started to cool a little bit as well. So if football is not your thing, feel free to check out some of these great events we have going on around Hampton Roads this weekend:

  • 30th Annual Bay Days – Downtown Hampton – This September 7-9, Hampton, Virginia will once again welcome an estimated 200,000 fun seekers and festival attendees to the 30th annual Hampton Bay Days.*
  • Blues at the Beach – 17th Street Park – Virginia Beach – Celebrating one of the most cherished musical genres of all time, Blues at the Beach features two days of free concerts on an outdoor stage. Local, regional, and nationally-recognized Blues acts share the stage for a riveting and heartfelt tribute to the sights, sounds, and soul of the American experience.**
  • Granby Street Experience: Meet, Greet, & Imagine – Granby Street – Norfolk – A first of its kind street festival on Granby Street (Main St. to Charlotte St.) Friday, Sept 7th from 6-9pm. Enjoy performances from local artists, check out technology demonstrations, and stop by the DMV 2 Go Mobile Military ID Van! Write on the walls and tell us what you want on Granby Street! ***
  • Chris Isaak – Sandler Center – Virginia Beach – Yes, after more than a quarter of a century into his career, Chris Isaak has finally created the album he’s always wanted to make. Beyond the Sun, Isaak’s first Vanguard Records release out Oct. 18, is truly a labor of love. ****
