Summer has arrived and we are finally getting warm summer-like temps. Thank goodness there is plenty going on around Hampton Roads for this upcoming first weekend of summer. If you have not made plans, take a look at these activities, there’s plenty to keep you cool:

  • 23rd Annual AT&T Bayou Boogaloo & Cajun Food Festival – Town Point Park – Norfolk – The 23rd Annual AT&T Bayou Boogaloo & Cajun Food Festival delivers the heart and soul of Louisiana to visitors of Town Point Park in true Cajun style. *
  • TGIF Summer Concert Series – Constant’s Wharf & Marina – Suffolk – Friday nights of free family fun featuring live music, concessions, and a children’s area! Parks open at 6:00 p.m., bands play 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Don’t forget to bring a chair! No outside food or coolers. **
  • 45th Annual Hampton Jazz Festival – Hampton Coliseum – Hampton – Come out all weekend to see some of the top names in the Jazz & R&B industry. Scheduled to appear: Charlie Wilson, Natalie Cole, Kenny G, Monica, Jill Scott, and Kem.
  • Williamsburg Wine Festival – High Street – Williamsburg – Join us in Virginia’s Colonial Capital as we celebrate Virginia Wines at High Street, Williamsburg. Twenty one Virginia wineries will showcase their best wines in an event that is sure to be one of the premier festivals in the State. ***
