Tablets Of All Kinds Are Fast Becoming The Computer Of Choice - Is Your Company Adjusting It's Marketing Strategy

In new data released by the Pew Research Center, a study shows that 11% of U.S. adults have a tablet computer of some kind. This comes just 18 months after the release of the Apple iPad. The fact that 11% of U.S. adults have a tablet alone is impressive, but when you dive into the study for a closer look, the data is surprising.

Of those who own a tablet computer, 77% use their tablet daily, and 53% use a tablet to get news. Tablet users also revealed that they spend an average of 1 hour and 35 minutes a day on their tablets.

As marketers, JASE must be conscious of these statistics because the masses dictate how we disseminate information. As more users purchase tablets, the mediums for news and information sharing will shift. If JASE is directing ourselves and our clients towards less popular mediums and away from tablet based apps, we would isolating ourselves from a large market with plenty of room for growth.
