Starting on September 19th you’ll be able to tweet to your heart’s content. Well, almost. Twitter has announced a few changes that will take place next week.
- Media attachments will no longer count in your 140-character limit.
- Quoted tweets will no longer count against you.
- Usernames used at the beginning of a reply are freebies too.
These are nice concessions to the public’s requests for longer free-form text, and still keeping with Twitter’s brevity promise.
