Search engines are still the leader when it comes to driving traffic to retailers, but don’t blink too long because here comes Pinterest. We have talked recently about the success of Pinterest and what it will mean for inbound marketing and social media marketing, but retailers are already seeing the effects.
According to a report from Monetate, Pinterest’s traffic driving influence to retailers has increase significantly over the last couple of months. Of course, through all social communities combined, they still rank second in terms of driving traffic behind Google, and it is not even close. What this means for Pinterest, however, is that as they continue to grow in users, they will begin to receive more and more quality attention from marketers.
