Throughout the experience of developing your TV commercial, we try to make you comfortable working with us even if you've never been involved in the television commercial process. To help you with that, here is the process we normally follow during creation of a television commercial.
Project Information Gathering
To begin the process, our team sits down with you to discuss your project in detail. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss your advertising needs, why you believe you need a television commercial, and to begin the work toward developing a strategic project plan outlining the key benefits of your organization, target audience, and perceptual challenges. Based partially on a creative questionnaire, we will develop a Creative Strategy that will outline your goals and objectives.
Our team will also begin the market research cycle gathering information about your target market to help define and differentiate your organization from your competition and identify the appropriate market and television stations to advertise with.
Our creative team will first brainstorm television commercial concepts fit to your target audience. We will generate a specific, purposeful idea which communicates your brand and message in a compelling, creative, and meaningful fashion.
Supported by a strong concept, the process of creating a unique television commercial script is started. Our script writers feel that if our fresh and unique scripts do not sell your product or brand, then we haven't done our job.
We may also choose to develop accompanying storyboards including key frames, video descriptions, and audio details (scripts or voice-overs) to help tell your story, frame-by-frame.
Pre Pre Production
Once you have approved the concept and script for your television commercial, our creative and production teams meet to discuss the script details, understanding the thinking behind the concept, the shot list, shot locations, voice and/or acting talent, and the many options for optimizing production costs.
Production Cost Estimate & Shot List Approval
A full production schedule, shot list, and production cost estimate for your television commercial is presented to you for your approval at this point. Upon your approval, a date is scheduled to shoot your TV commercial.
Our creative and production teams meet to finalize the shot list, shot locations, and the full production schedule. If casting is required, the process of actor try-outs and primary & secondary selection for each role is conducted now.
Now the fun begins – we start location and/or studio shooting. Although JASE is not a television production company, our creative director and his team oversee our trusted partners capable of handling “production” of your television commercial. Only the most skillful and experienced professionals are present on a JASE team. Shooting is crucially a group effort, where the creative director, producer, director, crew, and actors collaborate to transform a concept into reality for your viewing public.
Post Production Editing
After the shoots are complete, a rough-cut edition is created for reviewing with the creative team. The rough-cut will contain selected music, track narration and imagery. The production team will then take your comments and input to create a final edit using live action footage, final titles, special effects, and polishes.
Mastering & Duplication
Once you approve the final edit, the television commercial is mastered and then the duplication process starts.
The television station selections which were determined during the market research cycle in the project information gathering phase will kick start the media time buy process. Your television commercial is then delivered to the TV stations for air play.
